Valentine - Stamping 411 SSC188

Stop the presses! I have finally played along this week with the Operator's at Stamping 411. I have heard about this site for awhile from my wonderful upline and girlfriend Selene. I like to look at the sketches weekly for inspiration. Selene even includes dimensions to cut your cardstock or DSP so it is very easy to play along. Here is the sketch:

Here is my interpretation:

I was thinking of my Valentine class when I put this together. I knew that I wanted to use the Love Impressions Designer Series Paper. When  I looked closer at the large focal image I thought of hearts and decided to take it a step further and try out the inlaid embossing technique with my Big Shot and Square Lattice embossing folder. You just glue down the red and pink hearts and emboss the entire square with the Big Shot and folder. I added a bit of bling with two rhinestones.

The great thing about this card is that it could be a love, anniversary or wedding card by just switching out the sentiment. Do you like this card? Would you like to get a group of friends together to stamp a few cards? Contact me today to book a workshop. Sale-A-Bration is here and this is a great time of year to host a workshop.

Supplies:
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Real Red
Paper: Love Impressions Designer Series Paper, Whisper White, Real Red, Pretty in Pink cardstock
Other: Big Shot, Square Lattice Embossing folder, White 3/8" taffeta ribbon, Basic rhinestones jewel accents, Scallop trim border punch, Full heart punch, Heart to Heart punch

More Mini Valentine Cards

So, what do you do when it is frigid outside? Stay in and stamp something! We are experiencing the coldest temperatures in the past 5 years here in MA.

I was inspired by a card I saw on Stampin' Connection by Diana Raney for these. Stampin' Connection is an online community for Stampin' Up! demonstrators where we post samples (over 135,000 currently) and chat in the various forums.

Again for these cards I used the Love Impressions Rub-Ons and some punches and they went together very quickly. The Basic Gray cardstock used in these pictures looks black. The Love You in the middle was cut-out with my paper snips and popped up on a dimensional. Then I added a little bling from our rhinestones on the 'O' in Love.

The biggest sale of the year Sale-A-Bration starts in a few days! I am so excited and will share the details soon.

Supplies:
Stamps: None
Ink: None
Paper: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Real Red, Basic Gray cardstock
Other: Love Impressions Rub-Ons, 1 1/4 square punch, Heart to Heart punch, Basic jewel rhinestone accents

Valentine Pencil Treats

I have a theme going this week of showing non-candy valentine treats. I had made some Halloween pencil treats back in October for a craft fair. Of course when I stopped at the dollar store and spotted these cute pencils I had to buy a pack.

Again I am featuring the paper and stamp sets from the Filled with Love promotion. If you purchase this bundle (stamp set and patterned papers) you receive a free pack of bitty buttons valued at $4.95. The patterned papers are Real Red and Pretty in Pink so I made a pencil treat using both colors.

I surfed around for a tutorial and landed at youtube where I found a tutorial from Kerry's Paper Crafts - youtube name pantala40. I am all about the visual tutorials these days. These are very easy to put together even if you wanted to do one for each classmate if you have school aged kids. Kerry's sample had one pencil and a lollipop so that is another option for this treat holder.

Supplies:
Stamps: Filled with Love
Ink: Pretty in Pink & Real Red
Paper: Whisper White cardstock & Love Patterns DSP
Other: Love Impressions Rub-Ons, Whisper White taffeta ribbon, 1" circle punch, Oval punch, Oval scallop punch, Decorative label punch, sticky strip

Filled with Love Valentine Box

Here is a Scallop Valentine Box that I put together using the products in the Filled with Love bundle. The promotion ends one week from today. When you purchase the bundle which is a stamp set and Designer Series Paper you get a package of bitty buttons for free!

The box idea came from Angie Juda over at chicnscratch. She has great video tutorials that are very easy to follow especially if you are a visual learner. ;-)

The scallop squares are from the Scallop Duo Die for the Big Shot and there is a cardstock box in the middle that will hold a small candy or paper treat. I decided to go with a paper treat this time. I know a lot of schools and/or parents that are not allowing the sweets so inside I put two itty bitty valentine cards. The envelope is made with the Scallop Envelope die for the Big Shot. The cards measure 2 x 4 and fit inside the little envelope.

Supplies:
Stamps: Filled with Love stamp set
Ink: Pretty in Pink
Paper: Pretty in Pink & Whisper White cardstock, Love Patterns DSP
Other: Scallop Squares Duo die, Big Shot, bitty buttons, linen thread, Full Heart punch, Scallop Envelope die, Scallop circle punch, 1 3/8 & 1 1/4 circle punches

Love Impressions Rub-Ons

I just love being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and the perks that come with being a demo including the sneak peeks, Stampin' Success magazine and the little extras. One of the extras in December and January was a free sheet of the new Love Impressions Rub-Ons from the all new Occasions mini catalog.

I will admit I don't have a lot of experience with Stampin' Up rub-ons and I have to say these were easy to use and look great. These are little 3x3 mini cards that I put together very quickly using some punches and coordinating DSP and cardstock. Easy peasy!

Supplies:
Stamps: None
Ink: None
Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Basic Gray cardstock, Love Patterns Designer Series Paper
Other: Love Impressions Rub-Ons, 2 3/8 scallop circle punch, 1 3/4 circle punch, Decorative Label punch

Hello Baby Card

I put this card together over this past weekend for a team meeting swap. A team meeting is when a group of local Stampin' Up! demonstrators meet up at our upline's house. We make a few projects, share our swaps, look at any new catalogs/promotions and just chat and catch up with each other.

This card is CASE'd from Jackie Bolhuis. I surfed to her website sometime in the last few weeks and she had a fab tutorial on creating a bunch of cards with the stamp set Tag Alongs. This set is on the last page of the main Idea Book & Catalog. With every set sold Stampin' Up! donates $2 to the Ronald McDonald House.

Supplies:
Stamps: Tag Alongs, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Early Espresso & Blushing Bride markers
Paper: Crumb Cake & Whisper White cardstock, In-color Designer Series Paper Pack
Other: Early Espresso 3/8" taffeta ribbon, Scallop edge border punch, 2 3/8 scallop circle punch
