I was also pretty proud of myself since I haven't stamped in a few weeks! I know the horror, but I have a bunch of good reasons. ;-) You see, we just got back from our annual big vacation so I was getting ready for that then away. I can say I will be stamping a lot in the next few weeks ... you see there will most likely be invitations to send since I got married while on vacation on May 6th and we are planning a party to celebrate. Then of course I already have a list of thank you's that I need to work on. :-)
Anyways, back to the card. I went for a tropical feel and I think I got that by using Pumpkin Pie & Tempting Turquoise cardstock with the Cheers to You stamp set. I got to play with some markers and my Aquapainter for the image. I just colored a bit of each marker on a wood mounted stamp case and grabbed the color with my Aquapainter for a watercolor look. Be careful that the Aquapainter isn't too wet. I used the Big Shot for the background embossed layer and the scallop square layer. Then I finished it off with a faux bow and sentiment. I hope Colleen likes it!
