Peach & Poppy Birthday Cupcake?

Well, there are peach desserts right? Peach cobbler is one that comes to mind. I guess going with the orange on my cupcake it could also be carrot cake! Ok now I am getting hungry.

I saw the Stamping411 sketch for this week and I wanted to challenge myself to play along. I am always needing birthday & baby cards so I grabbed my Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper and got to work. Here is the sketch and like the operators mentioned it is not that difficult when you break down each layer & measurement. I love that they give you measurement suggestions.

One great thing about Stampin' Up! DSP is that you have two designs in one piece that coordinate. So I grabbed the colorful stripes pattern with a lovely Poppy pattern on the reverse. I stamped the birthday greeting on my Whisper White, but that piece still needed a little something. I grabbed my Color Spritzer tool to add some spritz with the opposite color marker. I still need some practice with this tool. I used the largest circle punches and a circle from the Circles # 2 die for my cupcake. Had to add in the red glimmer cherry on top. Also, hard to see in the photo but I put three little rhinestones in the upper right corner coordinating with the circles in the pattern of the paper.

Happy Stampin',
Christine
