Picture Perfect Birthday Card

Picture Perfect Birthday Stampin Up

Happy Sunday! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Yesterday was hectic as I participated in a local craft fair then had dinner plans with friends. Today I have been enjoying some down time to get caught up on cleaning and errands.

It is my birthday week so I wanted to share a birthday card for someone else in my life that also has a birthday this week. When we were at OnStage in Orlando we were challenged to show cards featuring #simplestamping. For an avid crafter it is difficult to get back to the basics and take just a SIP (stamps, ink, paper). By featuring two easy techniques I think I accomplished the task today. I used stamps from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set:
Tips:
1.       Stamp sentiment in Memento ink first
2.       Stamp off with the rectangle image to get lighter shades of Lovely Lipstick to highlight the words in the sentiment. I also stamped off for the candle flames.
3.       Use a blender pen to pick up some ink from the ink pad lid then add some Lovely Lipstick color to the Designer Series Paper

Measurements:
Lovely Lipstick card base: 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score in half at 4 ¼”
Basic Black cardstock: 3 ¼” x 4 ¼”
Designer Series Paper: 3” x 4”
Whisper White cardstock: 1 ½” x 2 ½”

Let me know if you have any questions about today’s post. All the products I used are below.

I’ll be back on Tuesday with another project to share.

Happy Stampin’
Christine
