Crafting Forever Card

Happy Sunday! I hope your weekend is going well. It has been crazy busy, but lots of fun here. Yesterday I volunteered in the morning at our work monthly farmers market. It is always a good work out. Then in the afternoon we went to explore the Lowell Folk Festival and went back to the festival today. We were able to beat the heat by staying in the shade as much as possible and drinking lots of water. My highlights were eating Brazilian food and hearing music from the Canary Islands.

For my card today I wanted to play along with the CASEing Tuesday group. They are copying the card on Page 60 from the annual catalog. I paired my Crafting Forever stamp set with the Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper. I’m sure I’m not the first person to make a card with the scissors stamp set and scissor DSP. Here is a look at the stamp set:

Measurements:

Blushing Bride card base - 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score in half at 4 ¼

Basic Gray cardstock – 3 ½” x 4 ¾”

DSP – 3 ¼” x 4 ½”

Whisper White cardstock – 3” x 3” and scrap

Crafting Forever OnStage Swap

I got home from OnStage Hartford last night. It was a blast and I will be sharing a brief update tomorrow afternoon since I need to abide by the spoiler alert rules by Stampin’ Up! corporate. While I was there I participated in two organized swaps with some amazing demonstrators. The card I am showing today was the swap with the Stampers with HeART team. I used the Crafting Forever stamp set. This set is a must have for any avid crafter! Here are the images in the set:

You might be wondering how I got the funky background? I used a balled up piece of saran wrap and dabbed it directly in my Berry Burst ink pad then stamped randomly on the Whisper White piece. I created a YouTube video on this technique which you can find here.

Hey there!

Happy Monday! I’m playing in a Color Creative Challenge this week with the Stampers with Heart. The challenge is to use any of the four Color Theory Suite colors of Berry Burst, Dapper Denim, Crushed Curry, and Old Olive.

I reached for my Memories & More Color Theory Card Pack for my card today. The card packs are great when you need to make a quick card. I picked two of the 3” by 4” color theory cards for the “Designer Series Paper” on my card. Since one of the cards had the open circle I looked for a sentiment that would fit perfectly. I stamped directly on the color theory card with my Berry Burst ink pad. I added  a flower sticker from the card pack and a few rhinestones as embellishments.

The sentiment for my card comes from the Crafting Forever stamp set. It is a must have stamp set for the crafter in your life. Here are the images in the stamp set:

Stampin Up - Crafting Forever

The new annual catalog debuts on June 1st and over the next week and a half I have a few sneak peeks to share. The card I am sharing today was created for our Stampers with Heart team meeting swap. The card features the new Crafting Forever and Soft Sayings stamp sets, Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide in color ink pads, Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack, and Fresh Fig cardstock.

Our monthly team meeting was last night and included card swapping with other demonstrators, business training, make and take projects, and recognition. The coloring technique I used on my card is coloring with ink pads and a blender pen. You squeeze your ink pad in the middle and open the ink pad and use the ink in the lid to pick up the color with your blender pen.
