Beautiful You Card & Tuesday Tip

Hi all and Happy Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a great start. It is a busy one here with last minute preparations for Saturday’s Stamp Out Breast Cancer Fundraiser. I gave myself a treat and will be taking Friday off my full time job so I have some time for appointments and errands before the big day. I am so happy to say we already raised over $3,600!

Beautiful You Birthday Card & Tuesday Tip Video Tutorial

Happy Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a great start. It has been a whirlwind month. Why is it the summer months always go by way too fast! OnStage Swap - Stampin' Up! Beautiful You

Stampin Up - Beautiful You

I returned home early this morning from my trip to Louisiana. It was a wonderful vacation. I spent today trying to unpack and rest before heading back to work tomorrow. The trip was loads of fun especially at Stampin' Up's OnStage Local in Shreveport. I got to meet and hang out with my friend Gery from Louisiana. The card I am sharing today was the swap card I made to bring and swap with other demonstrators from around the country. There were a little over 400 demonstrators in Shreveport from 28 states. I got to meet another demonstrator from Massachusetts which was too funny since I thought I was the only one.

Want to make this card?
1. Cut a piece of Watercolor Paper 3 3/4" by 5". Tip: You can get two sheets from one piece.
2. Cut a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock 3 7/8" by 5 1/8"
3. Score a 8.5" by 11" piece of Smoky Slate cardstock in half at 4 1/4" on the short side then cut it at 5 1/2" on the long side to get two card bases. Set one aside for another project.
4. Stamp the lady in the dress image with Basic Gray Archival ink
5. Stamp the sentiment in Basic Gray Archival ink
6. Lightly wash some Smoky Slate ink on the dress with an Aquapainter. Squeeze your ink pad in the middle then open it and grab some ink from the lid.
7. Take the Bermuda Bay Watercolor Pencil and color along the lines of the hat then blend the color with a Blender Pen.
8. Paint over the hat with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen
9. Adhere your layer together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue
10. Add one Rhinestone to the 'i' in Birthday
