Happy Tuesday! Something wonderful happened at 4:30 this afternoon. I am officially on vacation for the next eight days! Woo-hoo! My to do list is growing a bit shorter since I realize I will not have a chance to get everything accomplished before I get on a plane tomorrow.

Today I’m playing along with a color challenge and CASEing Tuesday group. I’m featuring two retiring stamp sets Touches of Texture and Another Wonderful Year. If you want to add these to your collection make sure to place your order in my Online Store by May 24th. Check out my video below for tips on making this card.

Touches of Texture Card

Stampin' Up! Touches of Texture

Happy Sunday! I hope your weekend is going well. I’m in beautiful Cape Cod, Massachusetts visiting my in-laws for a quick overnight trip. The weather is absolutely gorgeous after an excruciating hot holiday week.

For my project today I played along with the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook group. I have to admit this is not my favorite card as I feel it needs something added to it. I might try to makeover this card this week and share the new version.

I used the Touches of Texture stamp set and stamped off in Sahara Sand ink and then watercolored the flowers and leaves with new of the new in-colors and a Aquapainter. I then squeezed some water in my Lovely Lipstick ink pad lid and picked it up with the Aquapainter and flicked it with one finger to get a speckled look on my card. Here is a look at the images in the stamp set:

Measurements:
Sahara Sand card base - 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score in half at 4 ¼”
Lovely Lipstick cardstock - 3 1/8" x 5 1/8"
Shimmery White cardstock - 3" x 5"

My July host code for online ordering is F7G4GGJ9 if you place any size order in my Online Store using the host code you will receive a surprise gift in the mail from me.

Let me know if you have any questions about today's post.

I’ll be back on Tuesday with another project to share.

Christine
