For the Bride-to-Be

Stampin Up Humming Along

Happy Sunday! I hope your weekend is going well. I’m enjoying some fun in the sun at the annual New Orleans Jazz Fest. I hope to bottle some of the 80-degree weather and bring it back to Massachusetts with me. We are having a wonderful time eating and drinking lots. The one benefit of visiting New Orleans is we walk all over while we are here so I don’t feel that guilty indulging.

For my post today I am saying so long to the Humming Along stamp set, Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper (which already sold out), and in-color Fresh Fig. If you have these items on your wish list run over to my Online Store and place an order right now. The ink and cardstock are only available while supplies last.

Here is a look at the stamp set:

Measurements:
Petal Pink card base - 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score in half at 4 ¼
Fresh Fig cardstock – 3 ¼” x 4 ¼”
Whisper White cardstock – 3” x 4”
DSP – 2 ¾” x 2 ¾”
Ribbon – 4 ½” piece

I made these cards for a very special bride-to-be, my sister who is getting married next month. I missed her bridal shower and bachelorette yesterday since it collided with my week away. I always create an assortment of thank you cards and purchase something off the registry for bridal showers. Bride-to-be’s always need lots of thank you cards.

Since I’m away I won’t have another blog post to share until Thursday when I return.

Please let me know if you have any questions about today’s post.

Humming Along Thank You

Stampin Up Humming Along

Happy Thursday! I’m trying to get back on track to posting three days a week. It helps me stay less stressed. I went to pick up our taxes after work so I was a little anxious and decided to sit and stamp a quick thank you card when I got home. I have a pile of thank you’s to send for orders I received in March. Good news our taxes weren’t as bad as I thought.

Spring is starting to arrive here in Massachusetts so I’m keeping the tropical feel coming to my stamping this week. I paired the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper with the Humming Along stamp set. Here are the images in the stamp set:

I got the sketch for today's card from the CASEing Tuesday Facebook group. They are remaking a card from Page 24 of the Occasions catalog. A few tips on this card:
  • I rounded two corners of the Whisper White cardstock with the Detailed Trio punch
  • For the bow I cut off the white sides of the Granny Apple Green ribbon then pulled a bunch of pieces from the middle to make a bow (FYI, you’ll get a few wispy pieces to discard)
  • For cling mount stamps clean and remove your stamp from the block as soon as possible since they are super sticky
Measurements:
Granny Apple Green card base - 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score in half at 4 ¼
DSP – 1 ½” x 4 ¾”
Whisper White cardstock – 1 ¼” x 3”
Ribbon – 8” piece

Let me know if you have any questions about this card. All the products I used are noted below.

Humming Along Birthday Card & Tuesday Tip Video

Stampin Up Humming Along

Happy Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a great start. I had a long weekend this past weekend and it was filled with activities. Saturday we went out to dinner with friends and then enjoyed two games of bowling. It was fun and I don’t think I made a complete fool of myself. Sunday we traveled to Cape Cod to visit family and went to a yummy lunch at a local Chinese food restaurant. Monday we traveled home through a winter wonderland of snow. Lucky for us the bulk of the snow fell overnight so the roads were in good shape.

Today’s card covers three things for me today – I need some birthday cards this week, I’m playing in a color challenge, and I needed a project to share. I went with a sketch I used twice in January for cards. Since the color challenge is Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo, and Soft Sea Foam I grabbed my All My Love Designer Series Paper. I looked for a birthday stamp with a nice greeting which happened to be from the Humming Along stamp set and paired it up with the Pretty Label Punch.

Check out my video below for some tips on putting this card together.

Measurements:
Lovely Lipstick cardstock - 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score in half at 4 ¼”
