Picture Perfect Birthday Card

Stampin Up Picture Perfect Birthday

Happy Sunday! I hope your weekend is going well. Yesterday we went to brunch since hubby was out of work early and then spent a few hours in the late afternoon/early evening exploring Boston. We had some crazy weather roll through so had to wait for the storms move away. There has been so much tropical weather in Massachusetts this summer. Even a tornado touched down in South Central Mass. yesterday.

I finally found some time this morning to get caught up on designing (one of my August classes) and then I wanted to play along with the CASE-ing Tuesday group. This week has really gotten away from me since hubby had some medical issues the other evening and we spent 6 hours at the ER. He is doing fine now.

My card features the Picture Perfect Birthday and Love What You Do stamp sets and Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. I picked the colors and accessories based on the DSP.

Measurements:
Crumb Cake Cardstock: 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score in half at 4 ¼”
Share What You Love DSP: 2" x 4 1/2"
Ribbon: 4” piece

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend. I’ll be back on Tuesday with another project to share.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Steph’s Bridal Shower

Yesterday was my cousin’s fiancĂ©e Steph’s bridal shower. First it was held at an amazing tapas restaurant in Brookline, MA called Barcelona Wine Bar. If you are ever in that area check it out. I was hired by my aunt (mother of the groom) and cousin (sister of the groom) to make favors for the occasion. They liked a mini purse that could hold some candy. The bride’s favorite color is pink and navy is the wedding color.

That led me to dig out my retired Petal Purse die, but I mixed it up with some new items – the lovely Petal Pink cardstock & ribbon, Rose glimmer paper, and Dynamic Tufted embossing folder. I absolutely love how they turned out and so did everyone at the shower. The purses are pretty small they held three dark chocolate Lindt truffles. Here is a photo with them all assembled at the event (sorry it is not the greatest photo).

I also made Steph some thank you cards using the lovely Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper (on sale Buy 3, Get 1 Free until Tuesday) and again used the Petal Pink cardstock and ribbon. They came together quickly and now she’ll have a supply for when she needs them. A huge thank you to my friend James who saved the day on Friday when I ran out of ribbon and needed to purchase his supply.

Simple Love What You Do Thank You Card

Stampin Up Love What You Do

Happy official summer! Sometimes you need a quick and simple thank you card and today’s card fits the bill. I used the Love What You Do stamp set and coordinating Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper as my focal points. This design in the paper really shows off the pearlized detail.

Here is a look at the stamp set:

Measurements:
Crumb Cake card base - 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score in half at 4 ¼”
Rich Razzleberry layer – 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”
DSP – 3 ¾” x 5”
Crumb Cake – 2 ¾” x 2 ¾”
Ribbon – 5” piece

Want to know a fun tip? You can cut the scalloped Rich Razzleberry circle from the Rich Razzleberry rectangle. Just make sure when you run through the Big Shot you aren’t too lose to the edge. This is a great help to save on your cardstock supplies.

Place an online order with me in June with host code: XYF4DS2Y and I will send you a fun surprise gift.

I’ll be back on Sunday with another project to share.

Happy Stampin’,
Christine
