Project Life Baby Book - Part 3

Earlier this month I shared some photos of a Project Life baby book I made for my coworker. She is due to give birth tomorrow and I am excited to see pictures of her little boy. Here are some additional pages from the book showing the accessories & envelope page.

For the first & second pages I cut a piece of vellum 6" x 8" and adhered the Project Life cards back to back:

Here are some pages where I used the embellishments in the accessory pack (I cut the wood banner in half with scissors):

Here is the envelope page I put in the back of the book with the extra cards, accessories, and journaling pens.

Let me know if you have any questions about Project Life? I hope my photos inspire you to give Project Life a try. You can find all the supplies used here in my Online Store.

Project Life Baby Book - Part 2

Here is the second part of the Project Life baby album I made for my coworker. Today I am showing the pages for months 6-12.

If you aren’t familiar with Project Life it is a memory keeping system designed for the average non-crafty person. It is meant to get your photos off your camera or phone and into books to preserve your life’s memories. For this book I used the 6 x 8 album and pocket pages since I find this size easy to put together quickly. I cropped the images shared here so above or below them is an empty 4 x 6 area for my coworker to add a picture of her baby boy. The album will let her document the baby’s first year with pictures and journaling.

If you want to make an album of your own you can view all the Project Life collections in my Online Store. There is only about two and half weeks left of Sale-A-Bration so now is a great time to stock up on supplies for your albums. Until 3/31 with every $50 order you get to choose a Free Sale-A-Bration item. I will be stocking up on some supplies for an album for an upcoming trip in April. I hope my photos inspire you to give Project Life a try.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Project Life Baby Book - Part 1

In the past two weeks I shared the baby shower favors and baby card I made for my coworker who is due to give birth this month. I decided as soon as I knew she was pregnant to make her a Project Life baby book as her gift. It was so much fun putting it together I can’t wait to make another one!

Today I am sharing some pages for the first 6 months. Sorry some of the pages are a little blurry - I took lots of pictures very quickly once the book was already together in the plastic sleeve pocket pages.

10 Minute Baby Card

Happy Saturday! I am headed into my stamp area to work on some projects for the Stampers with Heart team meeting tomorrow. Confession time! I normally wait until the last minute (day before or day of) to work on my swaps. Pretty much this week after work I was pooped every night to think about crafting.

As a reminder during Sale-A-Bration until March 31st you can join the Stampin' Up! family for $99 (plus tax if applicable) and you get to pick out $155 of products! If you are interested in learning more please let me know. If you are local to the Merrimack Valley of Massachusetts you would be welcome to attend monthly team meetings run by upline Selene Kempton. She spoils us rotten with projects, prizes, business tips, etc!

This card above is one I put together very quickly in 10 minutes for my co-worker’s baby shower this week. Since I spent a while on the gift (more to come on this) and favors I felt I could cheat a little on the card. A card like this one comes together once you pick a Designer Series Paper and coordinating colors, a framelit set, and stamp set.

Christine’s Tip: When you buy a pack of Designer Series Paper don’t forget to purchase the coordinating cardstock pack too! The cardstock pack features three colors in the DSP.

Stamps: Petite Pairs
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Sweet Lil Things Designer Series Paper, Very Vanilla & Pool Party cardstock
Other: Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Baby’s First Framelits Dies, Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

All the products to make this project can be purchased in my Online Store. Don't forget to check out the Weekly Deals and Clearance Rack while you are shopping!

I hope you get some time to get crafty this weekend.

Baby Shower Favors

Today was the big day - a surprise baby shower for a co-worker on my team. I am sharing the baby shower favors I created over this past weekend for the event. I decided to go with quick and cute and make sour cream containers filled with Dove chocolates.

Christine's Tip: Use a strong adhesive such as Tear & Tape when putting together sour cream containers for a strong bond. You can also crimp the edges if you have a crimper tool (retired from Stampin' Up!). For these favors I cut my Designer Series Paper to 6x6 and put adhesive on one side and one bottom then rolled the paper like a toilet paper roll. Close the edges in opposite directions and you have your sour cream container. Embellish as desired. Did you see the little pearls for eyes?

I will be showing a few more baby projects this week so come back and visit me.

I hope this post inspires you to make something crafty! If you have any questions let me know. You can find all the supplies to make this project in my Online Store.

Kim's Baby Shower

Happy September! I hope you are enjoying the long holiday weekend. It has been very busy here with day trip activities and catching up with family and friends. Yesterday was my friend Kim's baby shower. Of course I couldn't pass up the opportunity to make something crafty for her and the guests. I totally fell in love with the Hello World Ensemble for Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio software. For $19.95 it gives you everything you need for a baby shower, but I only used a few pieces for yesterday. Also remember you don't need the My Digital Studio software to use the downloads you can open them up in software you already own on your computer.

For the banner I did not change a thing just printed out the template and cut, added some ribbon, glue dots, and staples. Easy peasy!

For the favors I printed out the template as is, but turned the project into a hybrid (using digital and traditional paper supplies) by adding Marina Mist cardstock, Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper cut with my Chalk Talk framelit (thank you Selene!), white taffeta ribbon, and some Marina Mist coloring with my marker on the little banner. The favor was inspired by Becky Roberts.

For the frame again I just printed out the template as is and cut it to size to fit in my 8 x 10 frame. I believe this frame came from Dollar Tree. I have purchased a bunch lately and I am starting to forget which is which.
Could not be easier! You can see me and my tripod in the glass of the frame. I guess next time I should take the picture a different way. LOL

For part of my gift to Kim I made her a dozen thank you notecards. I kept the design super simple sorry that the picture did not come out better. I used the Chalk Talk stamp set and stamped with Whisper White craft ink on Basic Black cardstock then cut out with the coordinating Chalk Talk framelit. I cut out the hearts with my Fashionable Hearts Embosslits die using scrap of the Designer Series Paper from the favors. I used three hearts in total putting a small one on the inside of the card in the bottom right corner and adding a large one to the back of the envelope. I also added one rhinestone on the heart on the card. If you don't already know the Whisper White notecards come with envelopes 20 to a pack for $5.95 and they are cut and scored for you. What a great deal!

Let me know if you have any questions on these projects. I hope I inspired you to make something crafty. More details on the products used can be found in my Online Store.

Christine
