Onstage Swap - Suite Sayings Baby Card

Suite Sayings Stampin' Up!
Suite Sayings Stampin' Up!
Hi all! I’m back today to share my swap from Onstage in Secaucus, New Jersey. One of the great things about going to a large stamping event is stamping with other demonstrators. I made 40 cards and came home with 40 different ideas.

Since I had my displays I decided to keep my swap very simple. It is a cute baby card similar to one I made here. I used the A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper Stack, Baby’s First Framelits, and the sentiment from Suite Sayings. I added just a few embellishments. I made 20 cards in Calypso Coral (shown here) with the flower and rhinestone and 20 cards in Pool Party with the tie from the framelit set.

Christine’s Tip: I started with the cute A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper Stack and then picked the colors in the paper to use for my card. If you start with the patterned paper as your guide everything ends up coordinating beautifully.

I got home yesterday from an awesome stamping retreat weekend. We were spoiled rotten with lots of surprises! I took two classes with some amazing demonstrators, created a special project, and stamped some items for a craft/vendor event on Saturday. I look forward to the next one in the spring.

I linked the products I used below. Let me know if you have any questions.

Happy Stampin,
Christine

Happy Birthday Foxy Lady!

Foxy Friends Stampin' Up!
Foxy Friends Stampin' Up!
I made this card last month to mail to my sister for her birthday. I had this idea in my head to stamp a fox and use the Labeler Alphabet to spell out foxy lady so it seemed appropriate to use for a fun happy birthday wish. The Labeler Alphabet stamp set lets you customize your own messages.

Have you seen all the great samples with the A Little Foxy Suite on Pinterest? Oh my gosh! I am in love with this little guy and all the little creatures the stamp set and punch can create.

Christine's Tips: The suite features a coordinating stamp set & punch that you can save 10% on when you purchase them together. It also features a cute 6x6 designer series paper stack, 8.5x11 cardstock pack, and ribbon. The suite is designed for cute baby critters, but you can use the creatures with any greeting for any occasion. Pulling out all the products from the suite makes creating a card a breeze. I have linked the products I used on this card below.

I hope this card inspires you to make something crafty.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Happy Stampin',
Christine

Onstage is two months away!

Onstage 2016 Savings Jar
Onstage 2016 Savings JarIsn't this jar so much cuter than those savings jars you see in the stores? I had the mason jar in my craft closet with some paint brushes inside. I wanted to start collecting change from purchases to set aside for my Onstage 2016 fund. I figure if I put my change in this jar I will be less tempted to spend it at the vending machine at work on snacks. I went food shopping yesterday and bought lots of snacks so this won't happen anymore.
I am counting down the days so I might have to make myself a calendar to match my savings jar lol! I seriously can't wait to leave for Secaucus, New Jersey. I am going to be a super busy girl until the big weekend away, but I know it will all be worth it in the end.

A few things on my Onstage 2016 to-do list:
1. Promote to Bronze Elite in September so I can be recognized at the event. This is a biggie, but I am within reach so will be working extra hard over the next few weeks.
2. Create 16 display projects for the boards. I have my sneak peek product and gave myself some time to think about the projects I want to create before I dive in. I have two months now so time to start creating.
3. Make gifties for my roomies
4. Make swaps cards to swap with other demonstrators attending the event
5. Save a few extra bucks for the Product Purchase Premiere, hotel, and meals for the weekend. The other big ticket items of airfare & registration are already paid for.

Registration for Secaucus is still open as I write this post so if you have a long wish list and would like to sign up to join my stamping team you can join us at Onstage 2016.

After the event I will have to start a fund for Onstage 2017 in Utah. I am crossing my fingers hoping the dates won't conflict with our New Orleans trip.

Baby Boy Congrats Card

My co-worker Connie just became a first-time grandma and this is the card I made from our admin team to congratulate her. I shared another girl version of the card on my blog on 8/17 here. I used the same overall design of the other card, but I changed the pops of color from Flirty Flamingo to Pool Party. I also changed the flower framelit to the tie. Have you checked out the Baby's First Framelits Dies? You get 11 framelits in the set.

Christine's Tip: Upon first glance of the A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper stack there are diagonally striped papers, but if you have a die you can cut on an angle on the Big Shot you come up with a cute striped onesie. I love when those aha moments happen.

I am looking forward to making some more baby cards to have in my stash. There are lots of possibilities with the A Little Foxy Suite or even just using the Designer Series papers from the stack with framelits like I have created here.

I hope this card inspires you to make a baby card to add to your stash.

I have linked the products I used on the card below.

Baby Girl Congrats Card

So I have a funny story of how this cute baby girl congratulations card came about. My co-worker Connie told me months ago she was going to be a first-time grandma as her daughter was pregnant. I have been anticipating the day and knew I needed to make her a card. Well, the other day she came in and told me the latest scoop. Her daughter is young and has had a very healthy pregnancy so she had her second ultrasound at 9 months pregnant to find out she was having a boy instead of a girl! Ack! So hence I need to make a boy version of this card which I will share with you next week. They are super excited and were able to return some of the girly items they previously purchased.

So for the details of the card. First of all I love the colors with the soft Smoky Slate and the pretty pops of Flirty Flamingo. The card came together very quickly as I knew I wanted to use the super cute A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper Stack and the Baby's First Framelits Dies (onesie and flower). I added a sentiment and a few embellishments and voila it was done in minutes. The baker's twine which I put across the top of the onesie to mimic a clothesline is from the July 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit. The enamel dot is from 2016-2018 in color enamel shapes.

Christine's Tip: The Magnetic Platform for the Big Shot die cutting machine is essential when using framelits. I was able to line up my heart designer series paper and crop it out perfectly with the onesie framelit.

You can find all the products I used to make this card in my Online Store.

I hope this card inspires you to make something crafty. You could certainly change the onesie to another shape to create a different card in a snap.
