Sketch Challenge - Tasty Trucks Sale-A-Bration

Stampin Up Tasty Trucks Stamp Set - 2017 Sale-A-Bration
Stampin Up Tasty Trucks Stamp Set - 2017 Sale-A-Bration
I used to work in Newburyport in an office park and once a week we had a taco food truck Metzy’s park in our parking lot during lunch. Yum! I gained a few pounds during those months when I walked outside to get tacos weekly.

Today’s post is the sketch from the Stampers with Heart team challenge for this week. If you want to play along the sketch is very basic and can be used over and over for all sorts of different cards. Here is the sketch and measurements:

For my card I used Watercolor paper and did a light wash with So Saffron & Pool Party inks and my Aquapainter on the truck. To do this squeeze the middle of your ink pad to pool some color of the ink in the lid and pick up directly with your Aquapainter. I find the watercolor paper is the best for the Aquapainter and you want to start by stamping your image in Archival ink and letting it dry. I then used some of my Watercolor pencils to add highlights by coloring a dark outline and blending with my blender pen. This card has a summer feel which is funny since I created it during a frigid day over this past weekend. I based my colors loosely on the Metzy’s food truck. Here is a photo:
