Stampin’ Up! Hug in a Mug Projects

Happy Thursday! I have a special post for today. Tomorrow there is a deadline to apply to be a display stamper for April 2018 OnStage locations. I was honored to be a display stamper in November 2016 and I have applied for every call since. I had to make six projects – three cards, two 3D items, and a scrapbook page. I used the Hug in a Mug stamp set on all my projects and the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper on most of them.

The Hug in a mug stamp set has 32 images and I used 25 of them on my projects. For $17.00 plus shipping and tax (if applicable) it is a great deal. This stamp set is available through January 2nd only.

I’m so stinkin’ excited on April 8, 2018 for OnStage to come to New England in Hartford, Connecticut! What is OnStage? The spring April events are one day conferences open up to any demonstrator to attend for training, new catalog and product reveals, and tons of inspiration. The conferences happen twice a year in April and November. The November conference is usually 2.5 days long. If you join my stamping team by purchasing a starter kit you are welcome to join me in Hartford on April 8th.

Card # 1 – I have two favorite hot drinks and one happens to be chai latte. I don’t drink coffee so one cup of tea gives me my caffeine boost in the morning. I stamped the sentiment first and then embossed the card with my Big Shot and Quilt Top embossing folder. I colored the mug elements with a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush.

Card # 2 – My second favorite hot drink is hot cocoa with lots of marshmallows. I stamped the images with Soft Suede ink and cut them out with the square Stitched Shapes framelits. All the elements are  also colored with a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush.

Card # 3 – I decided to stamp a coffee bar and my result made a cute valentine card. I love when that happens. My hubby loves coffee so this is perfect for my valentine. I thought of it as his & her coffee. The hearts are again colored with a clear wink of stella, but I scribbled with my Real Red marker on a clear envelope and picked up the color with the glitter brush. This result is quick and beautiful.

3D # 1 – I decided to make a gift card holder from a Whisper White medium envelope for my first 3D item. I am showing a photo of the outside and inside. The pocket on the right side inside holds a Starbucks gift card.

3D # 2 – For my second 3D I made a kcup holder from two Tiny Treat boxes. Have you seen Peppermint Bark coffee before? We found this locally at Christmas Tree Shops. I was able to include a Ghirardelli peppermint bark square in each box as well. Sorry the photo is a little dark.

Scrapbook page – For my scrapbook page I kept it sweet & simple. I added the hearts to the Designer Series Paper and colored them with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush and Real Red marker. I made a little poem using my handwriting and the stamp set. I also left a square to add a photo. The size of the page is 6" by 8" so it will fit in a Memories & More album.
