Warm Felt Mittens

I really liked the Stamping 411 sketch again for this week and wanted to make a card with my felt mittens and it all seemed to work out perfect. Here is the sketch for my inspiration:

I decided to change up a few things since I felt that my card was very striking just as it is. I only did one panel down the middle, omitted the tag and put my ribbon right over my middle panel ribbon. That is why I love to play along with the operator's at 411 since everyone interprets the sketch differently. It is a great charge to your creativity!

Since I really wanted to use the felt mittens I just pulled my color combination from them. A little tip in the catalog is lists Real Red as being a coordinating color for them, but mine almost matched Cherry Cobbler. So that is how I got to my Frostwood Lodge Designer Series Paper and the Cherry Cobbler/Garden Green color combination. Using Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper makes it so easy to get your color combos.

The scallop square is from the Scallop duo die and the ribbon is the lovely seam binding in Cherry Cobbler. I have been adhering my felt pieces with glue dots and that seems to work best for me. This card is a great sample of a non-stamped card from Stampin' Up! - can you believe it?

Ink: None
Paper: Frostwood Lodge Designer Series Paper, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White & Garden Green cardstock
Other: Big Shot, Scallop Square Duo Bigz die, Winter Wishes Stitched Felt, Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon, glue dots
